Áger, officially Àger, in Catalan, is a town in Spain located in the pre-Pyrenean area of the Noguera region, in the province of Lleida (Lérida), Catalonia. Áger is limited to the north by the Montsec mountain range and to the south by the Montclús mountain range. In the east it limits with the Noguera Pallaresa river and to the west by the Noguera Ribagorzana river. The municipality of Àger is of interest for its privileged setting, which has one of the clearest skies in Catalonia, and is home to the Montsec Astronomical Park, an astronomical center of the Universe open to the public. Its natural environment also allows the practice of a wide variety of outdoor activities and sports such as hiking, kakak, paragliding, rural cycling as well as being a perfect destination for astrotourism and astronomical observation for both professionals and amateurs where you can find accommodation with Starlight certification.
