Naples is a city in southern Italy, capital of the Campania region and the province of Naples. It is the third most populated city in Italy, with a population of 955,428 inhabitants. This city was founded by the Greeks in the 8th century BC. C., and since then it has been an important commercial and cultural center. Naples is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, with a lively cultural and nightlife. The city has a variety of museums, art galleries, theaters and restaurants as well as a beautiful coastline, the Amalfi Coast.
