Civitavecchia is an Italian city located on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 60 km northwest of Rome. It is the most important port of the metropolitan city of Rome, capital of Italy, and one of the main cruise and ferry ports in the Mediterranean. Civitavecchia has a long history dating back to Etruscan and Roman times, and preserves numerous monuments and archaeological sites of interest, such as Fort Michelangelo, the Bullfighting Baths, the Vanvitelli Fountain or the National Archaeological Museum.
