Once you have settled into your hotel in the center, it is time to enter the city of Barcelona. Walk down the Ramblas, at the end of them is the statue of Columbus, next to the Old Port. If you walk to the opposite side, you will reach the Barri Gòtic (Gothic quarter), the oldest in the city, where the Cathedral of Barcelona is located as well as other places of interest such as the Pont del Bisbe (the Bishop's Bridge), the the Kiss mural, the Basilica of Santa María del Pi, the church of Santa Ana, the church of Sant Felip Neri, the Call neighborhood (old Jewish quarter), Plaza Real and Plaza San Jaime. Get lost in its medieval alleys and if it's time to eat it's a good place to do it.
At the end of the Ramblas you'll come across Plaza de Cataluña and if you continue, you'll come to Paseo de Gracia, a commercial street where Casa Batlló and La Pedrera - Casa Milà are located, modernist buildings by the famous architect Antoni Gaudí, a genius as they come.

To get to the Sagrada Familia, which is quite far from the center, it is advisable to use public transport as this will save you time and effort. The cheapest options are the metro and the bus, although our recommendation is always the metro because it is faster by avoiding city traffic.
If you choose to go bymetro, from Paseo de Gracia station (very close to Plaza Catalunya) take the L2 line, the purple one. You will arrive in a few minutes at the Sagrada Familia, directly and without transfers.
If you take the bus, bus 50 is the fastest. The stop is turning right onto Gran Vía. You will have to get off at the València-Lepant stop.
Another less economical option is the taxi. You will easily recognize them by their black and yellow colors. It is not the cheapest way to get around the city but it is the most comfortable and easy.
Here ends your weekend in Barcelona. Before returning home, don't leave without visiting the Boquería Market, if you haven't already done so. If you go for breakfast, try their freshly squeezed natural juices. If you go at noon, it is an ideal place to eat in some of its stalls. If you have time and you want to, you can take the Montjuic cable car to see the city from above.
This guided tour includes priority access entrance to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona where you will avoid long lines to enter the most visited monument in Spain and a World Heritage Site.
