Albacete

Albacete is the capital of the province of the same name and the most populated city in Castilla-La Mancha. Modern, welcoming, and dynamic, it is known for its knife-making tradition, its significant commercial activity, and one of the most important fairs in Spain.

Among its main attractions is the Pasaje de Lodares , an elegant Art Nouveau shopping arcade considered one of the city's symbols. Also worth a visit are the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista , the Municipal Museum , the Cutlery Museum , and the historic Plaza del Altozano , the heart of Albacete's urban life.

The city is famous for the Albacete Fair , declared of International Tourist Interest, which takes place every September and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors. During these days, the emblematic fairgrounds , popularly known as "La Sartén" (The Frying Pan), become the center of festivities, culture, and Manchegan gastronomy.

Albacete also stands out for its large green areas, such as the Abelardo Sánchez Park , considered the lung of the city, and for an excellent gastronomic offer where typical Manchego products such as cheeses, wines, migas and Manchego gazpacho stand out.

Visiting Albacete means discovering a modern and welcoming city that combines tradition, culture and quality of life, making it an excellent gateway to explore the natural and heritage attractions of the province.
