Ca Les Monges Restaurant: Majorcan food, sandwiches and tapas that stand out for their local produce.

Ca'n Ferrà Restaurant - Winery:  Traditional Majorcan gastronomy.

Abbaco Restaurant: creative, fresh and modern cuisine. Mediterranean, South American and Asian cuisine. It has vegetarian options, gluten-free dishes and sushi made at the moment.

Club Náutico Restaurant: specialists in fish and shellfish. Open all year.

Ca'n Pescador: specialists in paellas and matured meats on the seafront.

Day 2:

Discovering the Bay of Pollença

After a long trip, the best thing you can do is enjoy this day at the beach in Pollença. All the beaches have sun loungers and umbrellas for a fee, but you can always go with your towel and lie on the sand. On the front line of Puerto de Pollença you will find a wide range of gastronomy, shops, bars, cafeterias, souvenirs and even perfume shops and supermarkets. Our recommendation is that you relax, enjoy the sun and the sea breeze and take the opportunity to eat a good paella with a very cold sangria (the classic that never fails) facing the sea in one of its excellent restaurants. When night falls, you can enjoy the summer atmosphere of the area: romantic restaurants, cocktail bars, chill out bars, ice cream parlors... A privilege!

Tips to enjoy the beach

At the beach don't forget to put on your sun cream. The recommended protection is the highest (protection 50).

Try not to take valuables to the beach, this way you will avoid loss or theft.

In any place and establishment you can pay with bank card, mobile or smartwatch so it is not necessary to carry cash.

When you go to eat at a restaurant, first ask if the paella and sangria are homemade. This way you will make sure that you are in a good place.

Spanish Sangria Recipe

The perfect sangria

The perfect sangria is made at the moment and is homemade -no bricks, bottles, or taps- so it will take a few minutes to serve it. Our recommendation is that you ask the waiter first if they make it themselves, this way you will avoid disappointment... Sangria is usually served in a jug, at least one liter, so if there is an option to order just one glass, doubt that it is homemade already. that its elaboration takes many ingredients and it is not profitable or feasible to serve it individually.

Although we can find several types of sangria, the classic sangria is red wine. The ingredients that sangria usually has are:

  • Brandy or peach liqueur, orange liqueur or cointreau.
  • Red wine
  • Orange soft drink (if it is natural juice, much better)
  • Sugar
  • Fresh fruit: orange, lemon, strawberries, apple, banana, melon, blueberries, grapes... Whatever is in season. The better the sangria, the more variety of fruit. If it's all citrus, they haven't tried too hard...
  • Cinnamon stick (optional)

There are slight variations on what is included change the natural orange juice for orange or lemon soda. There are even those who make sangria with soda. All these formulas are valid and are very rich. The important thing is that they make it in the same establishment and not pour a liter of bottled sangria into a pretty jar...

Day 3:

Boat trip from Pollenca

Today you will sail by boat through the Bay of Pollença in a day where you will enjoy the calm of the Mediterranean Sea. You have two options to choose from for today: the catamaran excursion or the sunrise excursion to see dolphins.

Excursion on a catamaran with lunch included

  • Time: 9h-15h
  • What includes? One excursion aboard the Robinson Catamaran, use of snorkeling equipment, lunch, a drink during lunch and travel insurance.
  • What will you do on this excursion? The Robinson catamaran will leave the Port of Pollença to take you to impressive covesof the Bay of Pollença which are difficult to access on foot. During navigation, the catamaran will remain at anchor at various times so that you have time to swim and snorkel or, if you prefer, relax in the sun on the deck of this boat. One of the famous beaches where the catamaran will drop anchor is at the fabulous Formentor beach, a place with difficult access as they close the road to private transport in summer for safety and protection of the environment. After enjoying this incomparable landscape, it is time to make another stop for lunch. Lunch consists of a pasta salad, chicken, salami, cheese, Majorcan bread and fruit. (There is also a vegetarian option with fresh pasta and green salad). Once you finish your lunch, you can continue enjoying the sea, take a dip, swim or simply relax on board the catamaran before returning back to Puerto Pollença.
  • Accessible for all ages
  • What to bring? High protection sun cream, swimsuit, towel and camera, if possible, underwater.

Sunrise boat trip to watch dolphins

  • Time: depends on the month of the year since it is subject to the time of sunrise. Approximate hours are from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Duration of the activity: 3 hours
  • What does it include? Ride on a catamaran, breakfast that includes a hot drink (coffee or chocolate) and pastries, and travel insurance.
  • What will you do on this excursion? With this excursion you will enjoy a pleasant ride at dawn on a catamaran through the Bay of Pollença from where you will be able to see dolphins swimming freely in their natural habitat. The boat will set sail before dawn to enjoy this magical moment while sailing to Cape Formentor, one of the most admired landscapes in Mallorca and a regular spot for dolphins. After watching the wild dolphins for a while, you will return to Puerto de Pollença.
  • What if you don't see dolphins? It has never happened but, in the unlikely event that you do not see dolphins, you will get a free ticket to come back another day to see the dolphins, or to go on another boat or catamaran excursion from the same operator. Refunds are not made as there is an expense for fuel, material and personnel.
  • What to bring? jacket even in the hottest summer months as it cools down at dawn. Towel to sit on as the seats can be wet due to the humidity of the night.

Which option you choose, you will surely live an unforgettable experience... Holidays at sea!

Day 4:

Pollença, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain

Pollença is a place of calm and serenity located in a privileged environment, in the Sierra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its beaches, coves and its mythical Formentor lighthouse make this place a magical destination. As if that were not enough, the town of Pollença has been awarded the Most Beautiful Town in Spain award, forming part of the only three towns that have entered this list together with the neighboring town of Alcudia and the small town of Fornalutx. For this reason, we recommend that you take time to visit its historic center and to climb the Mont del Calvario through its 365 stepsand reach the top where the church is located.> and theviewpoint with the best panoramic viewsof Pollença. Also, if you go on a Sunday, during the morning you can enjoy the traditional market that is organized in the town square and in the surroundings. Quite a postcard image!

In the afternoon, you can return to your hotel to relax by the pool or on the beach and prepare for another extraordinary evening in Puerto de Pollença, where the weather it seems to stop. If you have time, you can go to the famous Formentor lighthouse to see one of the most beautiful sunsets in Mallorca, although access is restricted so you can only go up by public transport.

What will you see today?

The Templars of Pollença

The first owners of Mount Calvario were the Templars who received these lands for their help to Jaime I of Aragon in the Conquest of Mallorca, in 1229. The Templars established themselves as authentic feudal lords with great autonomy from the clergy and the monarchy. This allowed them to abuse their power, collecting taxes from those who accessed their territories, even obtaining their own church, the Mare de Déu dels Àngels, located in the Plaza Mayor de Pollença and, what is worse, dispensing their own justice through from the gallows In fact, the top of El Calvari was previously known as Puig de les Forques (mount of gallows). Over the years, Pollença grew and became one of the most important towns in Mallorca in the 13th century. With the growth of the town and tired of the abuses, the confrontations between the citizens of Pollença with the Templars also grew. Finally, the presence of the Templars in Mallorca ended in 1312 with the disappearance of the Order by order of the Pope.
