Travel guide of Getaway to Granada with night visit to the Nasrid Palaces

Day 1:

On your getaway to Granada you will discover one of the most beautiful monuments in the world and the most essential in the Andalusian city. Talking about Granada without talking about the Alhambra is impossible and almost offensive. And the thing is, the Alhambra in Granada is one of those places you must visit, one of those places you have to see at least once in your life. Its history and excellent conservation is a delight but, without a doubt, what most attracts visitors is its enormous beauty, both in its construction and in its impressive gardens with numerous fountains. During your night visit you will visit the Nasrid Palaces, where the famous Patio de los Leones, the Palace of Comares, Mexuar and the Lindaraja Corridor are located. Once you finish your visit, near the Alhambra complex is the beautiful promenade Carrera del Darro, continue walking to Plaza Nueva through it, there you can have tapas in its many establishments. Later, on foot you will reach Calderería Vieja and Calderería Nueva, the neighborhood of tea shops. Take the opportunity to sit down to rest and try some of the Arab sweets that you will find in them. Following the route, you will pass by the viewpoint of the Placeta de los Carvajales and enjoy the excellent views from the famous San Nicolás viewpoint. One of the best sunsets in Granada.

If you have more days on your trip to Granada, don't miss the Albaicín and Sacromonte, the Alcaicería, the Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel.

What will you see today?

Entrance to the Nasrid Palaces

The Nasrid palaces have limited capacity for conservation reasons, so you will only be able to access them if there is availability at the time of your reservation. For this reason, we advise you to book your trip to Granada well in advance. Normally between 20 days and a month depending on the season. The price of admission is the same whether or not you access them since the Alhambra complex does not make any discounts in the event that you do not get to visit them.

In any case, our recommendation is that you do not miss out on visiting the Alhambra because you cannot enter the Nasrid Palaces, as it is a huge and beautiful complex that you absolutely cannot miss.

Pomegranate Tapas

The best places to eat tapas in Granada

Los Diamantes, specialist in tapas and fish and shellfish portions. Don't leave without trying their mixed frying tapa.

Casa Julio, the Granada classic with the most traditional decoration.

Beauty and the Beast, a place where the tapas are gigantic. You can not choose them but they go with each drink.

La Tana, a tapas tavern for lovers of good wine and traditional Andalusian food.

Los Manueles, famous for its croquettes, its Sacromonte omelette and its broad beans with ham .
