Reinosa is a city and municipality located in the autonomous community of Cantabria , in northern Spain. Considered the natural capital of the Campoo-Los Valles region, it lies on the banks of the Ebro River, very close to the Ebro Reservoir, and surrounded by mountain landscapes that make it an important gateway to the Cantabrian Mountains.
Its history is closely linked to its strategic position as a communications hub between the Meseta Central plateau and the Cantabrian coast.
