Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is one of the islands that make up the Canary archipelago, belonging to the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, in Spain. This island is part of the province of Las Palmas together with the islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Graciosa. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, it has an area of 1,560.1 km², which makes it the third largest island of the Canary Islands, and a population of almost 900,000 inhabitants, the most populous of the Canary Islands. Its highest point is Morro de la Agujereada, at 1,956 meters high, and it has several emblematic points of interest that receive thousands of visits a year, including Roque Nublo, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and its neighborhood of Vegueta, the Caldera de los Marteles, the famous Dunes of Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, Bufadero de La Garita and its many southern beaches such as Anfi del Mar, Puerto Rico, Amadores and Puerto de Mogán. Gran Canaria is one of the favorite tourist destinations in Spain due to its wide range of hotels, leisure, restaurants and, of course, thanks to its warm climate that remains throughout the year.
